Company History
EHP Products was founded in 1995 by the daughter of Harry W. Diehl, the discoverer of Cetyl Myristoleate (CMO). Mr. Diehl discovered CMO in 1964 in his home laboratory. CMO was his personal, off-duty project while employed at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He received a U.S. patent on CMO in 1977 (U.S. Patent #4,049,824). Despite ownership of this patent, Mr. Diehl was unfamiliar with the marketing of natural products, and CMO remained unknown to users of natural products for many years.
In order to ensure that the astounding discovery of CMO would reach the public in his original oil formula, Harry W. Diehl’s daughter, Elaine Parrish, formed EHP Products. This company distributed his CMO formula, which was tradenamed Myristin®. In 1996, Mr. Diehl assigned an entirely new patent on CMO (U.S. Patent #5,569,676) to EHP Products.
In addition to being the family company of the discoverer of Cetyl Myristoleate, EHP Products is the only manufacturer of a 40% CMO softgel. This 40% strength is the highest of any CMO product in the world. In comparison to other CMO supplements on the market, the large composition of Cetyl Myristoleate per Myristin® softgel (260 mg) allows consumers to take fewer doses daily and to absorb the recommended amount in a shorter period of time. Myristin® is made exclusively in the USA and is gluten-free, non-GMO, and non-allergenic.
EHP Products is proud to have many M.D.'s, D.O.'s, N.D.'s, D.C.'s, D.P.M.'s, D.V.M.'s, and other healthcare professionals among its customers. The Myristin® CMO supplement is marketed in the United States and internationally. Our products frequently ship to countries including Canada, United Kingdom, France, Philippine Islands, The Netherlands, South Africa, and Australia.
EHP Products markets other quality dietary supplements such as: Myrist-Aid, Myristin® Topical Cream, CoEnzyme Q10, Grape Seed Extract, and Milk Thistle Extract. We also market Myristin® products for dogs, cats and horses.
